Seven Concepts Attributed to Siméon-Denis Poisson

Siméon-Denis Poisson was 25 years old when he appointed Professor of Mathematics at the École Polytechnique in 1806. Elected to Paris Académie des Sciences six later, soon became one its most influential members. The origin and later developments many concepts mathematics physics that bear his name make interesting stories, a few which we shall attempt sketch this paper.
